Kelsey Malone (b. 1998 in Seattle, Washington) is a prominent ceramic artist, deeply committed to creating home objects inspired by human anatomy. Her journey to sculpture began at an early age under the watch of her grandmother, also a ceramicist, who introduced her to the medium. In 2016, she established her own ceramics brand, busted, based in the heart of downtown New York City. Every busted work is individually crafted to embrace the range and beauty of natural "imperfection”.Community, hospitality and togetherness are integral to Malone's artistic practice. Her ceramics are made to be tools for hosting, the olive night dishes are specifically built to serve castelvetrano olives amongst loved ones. Her work is made using non-toxic, lead-free, and food-safe materials. This commitment ensures that her pieces are not only beautiful to behold, but also practical for everyday use.
