From an early fascination that sparked his imagination, Namio Harukawa began drawing the forms he dreamed of late at night—an obsession that would shape a career spanning more than sixty years. With wit, exaggeration, and meticulous craft, he developed a singular visual language centered on power, desire, and the surreal theatricality of femdom imagery.
Harukawa’s drawings—at once playful and extreme—have influenced generations across art and culture, inspiring figures such as erotic novelist Oniroku Dan, playwright Shuji Terayama, and Madonna.
This expanded edition builds on The Incredible Femdom Art of Namio Harukawa (2019), adding sixteen new pages and nearly 300 illustrations from across his career. Rendered in black and white with pink and magenta accents, the book also features essays by Hajime Sorayama, art critics Atsushi Tanigawa and Toshiki Soma, psychiatrist Hiroshi Fujita, and anthropologist and writer Agnès Giard.
